i am sooo tired right now :)
i woke up at 6 left at 6:35 and walked to mother Teresa's. we eat a piece of white bread and have chi and a banana. then they all say a prayer and sing a small song. then everyone splits up in to groups and we all head off to the homes we are working in. im working at prem don. i get on a bus that's filled to the max.. i mean people are hanging out the sides.. its 6 rupees i think maybe 8? we get to prem don and wash laundry for a few hours. once all of its done we have a chi and cracker brake ,once there was hard boiled egg... i like to eat fast then go over to a bird cage of to the side and try to sound like the birds in there.. there is one cage that has 2 greenish birds that chase one another around and around. the other cage has a few small speedy birds that never hold still. they are cute.
after brake i go and paint some of the woman's nails with pink polish before lunch.
they have write rice dall and maybe fish or something. and water. we help feed. then clean up dishes and help the woman get to there beds. after they are all laying down i some times sing, maybe swing low..
i go outside and start washing dishes with other volunteers... once done we get our things and leave prem don.
we have to find maybe an auto rickshaw to take us home.. 8 or 10 rupees.. today it was 10 :(
the driving here is really scary and fast.. they seem to really have to know what they are doing though not to kill us all... u kinda just have to breath and not think to much about it..

today i got a rickshaw with Johnnie and his friend....im forgetting his name but ill get it. (its hard for me to remember so many names all the time)
we found some lunch down the street from sudder.. it was rice dall and potatoes there was more but it was to spicy for me.
i have been being really careful about eating not so spicy so as to not get sick or anything.. getting is sick is such a waits of time and i dont feel like it...
after lunch i went back to Gracie and i 's room to go potty. then headed of to find the voafone shop.. im trying to buy a phone here so when em gets here we dont have to worry to much about all that. i found a nokia phone for 1,188 r with a 78r sim card. its the best deal iv found so far, so i think tomorrow i will go back and buy one.. its good not to buy till later for me cuz alot of times you turn around and see it for cheaper somewhere elce...
my hands feel really dirty from this key board..ew
so now i am sitting in the upper right hand corner of the Internet cafe i like using because it has web cam and a mic for skyping...tonight no is on, its to late for you at home.. :( Internet here costs 15r and hour and 10r for 1/2 hour. or next door if you want yfi its 25r and hour..i like it here because its less noisy that the outside cafe. this shop also has nice clothes to look at if you need to wait..
after i am dont here i will go back to my room and get out of these dirty clothes and read my book, the host. and then who knows what.

im really excited for em to get here and for traveling more in India then going to Thailand! i really wounder what India and traveling will be like for her and us together.. i think it will be really fun.
i have been missing home a lot but i am doing really good right now. trying to enjoy right now so i don't kick myself in 2 months when I'm home wishing i was still traveling:)
well I'm going to go wash my hands now. sorry there is no photo with this one. i haven't been taking it out of the room alot.. i will though before i leave sudder st. i will miss this place someday I'm sure.

Darjeeling

im am here in Darjeeling now for the next few days. the trip up here took little under 24 hours.... it was long!

i am really happy we are here now tho its nice. cold and beautiful... i am going to look for some nice warm pants here for the chill. last night i slept with 2 huge blankets and my sleeping bag :)

i am really in need ao a bath i am really dirty. its been 3 days since i got to take one but today will be the day!!!
for breakfast i had really good think brown bread with cheese and tomato's. yum.

i miss home very much. im really excited for my sister emily to get here tho it will be so much fun with her. its nice with gracie i did miss her a lot we sleep in the same room and get to hang out a lot..

mmm day 4 india

hey!!!!!!!!
its taken me forever to get this internet thing worked out and i still dont but here i am in a caffe useing a computer for 15 r per hour. its 47 r to the us dollor so its pretty cheep.
my flight here killed it was so long! 19 hours total from new york. getting in to kolkata at night was a good idea cuz it was a lot less crazy then in the day. its beautiful here the buildings are old and there is tons of color here.. food dress streets!

the first days here we all just took it easy we walked around sudder st and drank chi.. amazing by the way mm chi. the second day we wolk up at 630 and walked to the mother home. there we ate bread and had chi.. i went and volunteered at prem don, where i washed clothes, then gave hand and eet massages and then lunch! we helped feed thoes who needed it and sat with thoes who didnt. it was an interesting time. i med two girls i like a lot. one is from Australia and the other is from Argentina and is teaching me spain ish : )
we took and mooter richshw home and rested for a bit. then got up and headed back to the mother home for our orientation. on the way pam and i took a cycle rickshaw and gracie and steve ran behind us! is was kinda scary!..
today is my day off.. ever thur.
this morning i went and got some nice noodle soup form tera katilol i really dont know how to spell everything.
any ways got to go now will write more later!

day two

town hall, ground zero, statue of liberty, china town, little Italy, central park. metropolitan museum of art, Russian samovar subways everywhere and times square.

a really good day. my feel are soo tired! we walked all over new york today and saw so much great stuff! i am sitting on a couch eating yummy chocolate and looking over my photos for the day. :) im going so sleep now. had a good day.

the first trek of my trip has started! i am in new

york city now with Pam and Stevie! staying with there nephew Chris. we had a crazy taxi drive in and a great dinner tonight. we went to NE Kingdom. i had a great pot pie. mmm we are back at the house now sitting on couches laying on floors.

im missing home so much already its crazy, how im going to make it 2 months is crazy..

tomorrow we are going to see the statue of liberty, the boll, little Italy, china town and central park! we will see and taste so much more then we are planing to but i will keep this up dated

im going to sleep now today was long..started at 430am and is now ending at 1132pm

packing... still going as you can see.. its way harder than it seems!

today was a good day. i got to spend time with people i love and will miss very much. there was crying, laughing, frustration, and good food : )

thank you everyone who helped me out with this trip.. it really does make all the difference having people who love me.

im feeling pretty excited for the the next 2 months.. i really cant believe im going to be gone for that long..

im sad and excited all rolled in to one.

i cant wait to post great photos and tell everyone what kind of good food im eating and share what im seeing.

2 days...

soooo sleepy.. iv been cleaning my room all up so its dont before i leave. my grandma suzy found me a cool old bed for my room and there bring it down for me while im away.. its nice but cleaning my room is sooo hard.. its crazy messy..

i still need to get good things to take with me on the plane from traider jos..mmm bananas and pineapple

today was nice i got to have breakfast with seth and lunch with chad. i got to hang out with my famliy and get them ice cream(sorry mom) and seth hung out with me while i cleaned. o and i skyped lauren!

tomoro her and i are having lunch! and my mom and i are going to go get her nose pierced!

anyways it was a good day and now im very ready for bed.

im getting a bit of anxiety about leaving for 2 months... i have three days left to do everything... why o why do i leave things till the last minuet?

i am loving Oregon right now with is cool crisp air and the rain!!! o how i will miss the rain.

i am siting on my bed right now looking at my things i am going to be packing... its hard to know how to pack like a pro when your not one...

last night i got to hang out with the cutest baby. her name is Lachlan : ) she is my cousin.
i and a nice day yesterday. breakfast with connor and seth at the gelnwood.. then hanging out at the book store and driving around with connor and my dad.. getting pazookys kind of : )we went to chris and tawnias and saw greenlee and held some babys. we watched a movie and then i went and had a sleep over with lauren!
it was all fun..
today is my last day of work! noon to six! come get coffee.. not that anyone reads this lol.

ok going to go brush my teeth again cuz i just ate some onions! mmmm

6 days to go!!!!!

im happy that i have 6 more day left to be in oregon i know im going to miss it like crazy.
last night Seth and i rocked out on rock band... i was guitar and he was drums.. there was his friend singing that was pretty good till he cracked his head open an and to go to the hospital....crayzos. Connor Seth and i are about to go get yummy breakfast some where really good...

i got really great soap for my trip, im super excited!!

i said good buy to gennie and andrew today cuz they went back to school.. its sad. i will miss them like crazy.

I got my travel guide! i love this book so much! i haven't been able to stop reading it... its a Lonely Planet travel guide. 8 more days till i leave... im getting nervous but still really excited.
still need a watch, tooth brush, brush, net book case bug repellent and sun block.. but thats really all. im excited. i still need to go through and pick what clothes im bringing... its not going to be much but i still need to plan.

last night was a fun night Seth and I went on a double date with Andrew and Gennie we went bowling and watched a movie out at her place then had great "cute" brownies and ice cream.. sprinkles too : ) i like my best friends they are nice.
o and never forget the kilt guy..creeper! Seth protected me : )

9 days hmmm where is my tinny spoon?

i am getting really excited to go on my trip.. i have been trying to get all the last minuet things together, its crazy how much there id to do!
i leave in 9 days!
first i will fly to New york for 2 days then get in to kolkata india on the 17th! where my best friend gracie is right now. we will be volunteering with an organization call missions of charity, founded by mother teresa. my sister emaily will fly in to kolkata on the 12th of feb. her and i will be flying to Thailand for 1 month edventure traveling! then fly back to India for a week or two and see cool places.. in India we will being seeing the Taj Mahal, Hindu temples, riding camels and so much more, i cant wait to post everything! and for Thailand i don't even know what to expect yet but i know it will be amazing : ). then we both fly home march 23!

so thats the plan, we will see how it goes.. im sure there will be lots of improvising and going with whatever. so we will see what the trip looks like at the end and if we did it all in this order.

o and im missing my tinny spoon i got to travel the world with in order to regularly tell everone what i will be eating! i hope it will be lots of crazy new things!

i have just used Skype for the first time last night.. it was crazy. i will be happy i will be able to keep in touch with friends and family through it... i am leaving in 12 days! i am feeling super nervous.. my tummy is feeling like its on a roller coaster...

last night my family had Christmas up in rosburg it was fun.. there was a lot of crazy kids running around. i wish there werent such thing as distance.. everything being together always..

im going to go shower now and go to rei.
